~Uncle Tony and Aunt June~

Our aunt Stella May Hewitt was a Broadway star for over 24 years. She was an Acrobatic Dancer. Her stage name was June Mann. She was married to Tony Malone and they performed as a comedy team.

 

Tony's stage name was Ross Wyse.  They were always booked as Ross Wyse and June Mann. They  performed  all over the world in the 1920's, 1930's and 1940's. They were a popular act as USO entertainers in the South Pacific during WWII. I am working on their story and it will be on line very soon. In the meantime I am posting some of their publicity photos a few each day for your enjoyment.
